Assistance during an autonomous journey: what the service has to do
When the driver is removed, someone has to do what the driver did. These are the four tasks, and what the autonomous service must solve in each one.
- The driver deploys the ramp. The vehicle must detect the need and deploy it.
- The driver announces the stop. The system must inform passengers through an accessible channel.
- The driver locates the passenger. The pick-up point must be easy to find.
- The driver handles the incident. The incident protocol must work on its own.
must cover the app, the stop, the inside of the vehicle and incident handling.
