Why it matters
Autonomous mobility can give freedom to people who today depend on others to get around. For that, it has to be designed with them from the start.
That is why AEVAC exists. Accessibility is the association's reason for being. Our president and co-founder, Aitor Fernández, is blind.
What we have done

- 2017. The association is founded, with the support of the Spanish traffic authority (DGT), the State Reference Centre for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids, Telefónica and Mobileye.
- 2018 to 2022: 5G-MOBIX. partners in this European Horizon 2020 project. We were the neutral party, with no commercial interests.
- 2021: roadmap. We publish a roadmap on and legislation for in Spain. We analysed more than 2,000 rules and standards and selected 350.
- 2022 to 2025: SELFY. Consortium partners in this European project on the of the .
- SHOW and DIAMOND. We took part as external advisers.
What we want to do
Three AEVAC proposals not yet carried out. None has an assigned call or dates.
